Project Prevent Safe*PLACE is a five-year federally funded grant supporting schools as they build a new, sustainable mental health support system that targets all students at the appropriate level. As a part of this grant, Barren County Schools is working to promote suicide prevention and awareness. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24. By raising awareness, we can change that and become a source of strength for those who are struggling.
